Happily ever after?

Being an in-love high-schooler, I take great offense when older people look down upon me and my relationship.
I love my boyfriend. We've been dating for about half a year, but I've known him for five years and we love each other intensely. Does this necesarially mean we are going to get married? Maybe not, but does that give adults the right to look down upon us? No.
It might just be that little girl in me that dreams of finding her knight in shining armor, the one that wants to find love and get married and live happily ever after like in the fairy-tales, but I like to wish, hope and dream that we stay together forever.
I am well aware that the probability of this is not great, but I've never been one to go along with the mainstream anyway.
Relationships aren't easy. They aren't supposed to be. If you are with someone that you agree with on everything, 100% of the time, you have nothing to work on, nothing to improve on. Your relationship can never get better.
The way I see it, as long as we are willing to work on it, as long as we still love each other, we'll make it. I know we will. Because, despite what other people may thing, our love is stronger than that.
